EVANSVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT - EXPANSION

EVANSVILLE, IN

The Evansville Regional Airport had to rework their runways to comply with Federal Aviation Administration safety regulations. The southwest end of the main runway was located to close to the roads, highways, and railroad tracks. To comply WB Koester helped relocate the runway over 2,400 ft to the northeast.

  • Excavated 1,064,800 CY of soil

  • Constructed a 20 ft embankment for new runway

  • Removed 3,700 LF of existing storm pipe

  • Installed 1,200 LF of new storm pipe

  • Installed 80,509 SY of erosion control

  • Seeded over 103 acres
