Weddle was chosen as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Administrative Office Building for the South Central Region of IU Health. The project was subject to budget constraints, while being an important facility for the hospital system as it would house the Region President and other high ranking administrative staff. Utilizing our in house scanning technology, we were able to go into the facility and capture the existing conditions and use the images as a collaborative tool with the Owner and Design Team to evaluate current conditions and how they related to the new design. Cost saving measures that were implemented included raising the existing sprinkler system to achieve desired ceiling heights in lieu of demolition and install of a new system, removing and replacing roof membrane- leaving roof insulation, and utilizing an existing floor trough system for electrical and low voltage wireways.
