The Kelley School of Business Renovation Project was the complete renovation of the Kelley School original academic and office space at Indiana University, Bloomington. Weddle served as the General Contractor for the 200,000 SF project but was responsible for many traditional Construction Management functions including schedule and sequence of the work. The project was challenging due to the fact that it had to be broken into eight phases, each with an aggressive completion schedule, in order to maintain spaces for university staff and students throughout the construction process. Weddle was able to gain on scheduled times for certain phases allowing the University to relocate students and staff at times that were less critical to their work and more convenient to the project. The renovations included not only the complete gut and remodel of many spaces, but also a complete overhaul of the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems.
